Cultural Heritage

Buildings and urban ensembles represent cultural heritage values. These can relate to the artistic qualities of the work, but also to the way they document important moments in the evolution of society. In the last few decades, the field of cultural heritage developed strategies to explore new ways in which cultural heritage can contribute to the revitalization of buildings and cities. Often, this requires a distinction between components that should not be tampered with and parts that can be redesigned for new uses.
